25 Long Stemmed, Red Roses

Valentine! I Love Your Butt!

When she said, she loves you!
She didn't mean, ‘She loves you.'
What she meant was, she simply loves you.

If you see what she means?
She didn't want you to misconstrue
What she really said, when she said, ‘She loves you.'

She blames radio, pushing love as a theme.
She knows what a man can do when a woman
utters those three little words of taboo.

Of course she does love you, but she doesn't, ‘Love you.'
That would be absurd, we hardly know each other, do we?
It's just that ‘LOVE' is her preferred word. She may in fact

Love you, but for now she is just going to love you with her pen.

My Paul

The first time you held my hand
you enfolded it like a tiny bird
just out of the nest, unsure and trembling.
The first time you kissed my lips
you cupped my face like a blooming rose
that you had bent to inhale its aroma.
You said "I love you" as we drove along
in silent peace, and amazed me.
In disbelief I said the same
and you held me tightly.
Then you changed everything
in your life
to accommodate me.
You asked nothing of me
and gave all of yourself
And you taught me all about love.
You are my one and only and always,
Valentine.

Endless Love

If you take my heart away
It must mean you're here to stay.
If one day you disappear
My heart will shed a lonely tear.
It will crack like glass and start to bleed
For the love of the guy I really need.

Don't be a stranger*cybergram*

When love doesn't cost a thing it's worth it.
When love costs more than you can afford
it's still worth it.

When love becomes like a cheap bargain do not
negotiate! Love is not for Sale. Never has been.

If you set a price for your love then it was never
true and you were never true to yourself.

If love is what you anxiously long for to be proven
true on valentine's days then you have never met
love.

If love has become like a distant memory
If you are still longing for a gesture of belonging
Don't be a stranger to yourself

Rendezvous

We're going to meet, beloved Valentine!
Proclaim the words that glow upon my screen
A tryst, a date, or something in between!

Alone at last, my darling Sweetest Spring
And free to fly, to breach the atmosphere
With me, your mellow man, your Dearest Deer

I see your sultry eyes, so deep and dark
So full of love, and burning with desire
That pull me inwards, lift my passion higher

Caressing, stroking your electric skin
To feel the thousand shivers of delight
That urge me onward and push back the nigh

And when I kiss your soft and supple lips
Taste their ambrosia, sweet as any wine
I feel love's tremors, darling Valentine!

We're resting now, enjoying afterglow
And tingling with euphoria's release
Until next time, my perfect puzzle piece.

A DAY AFTER IDES OF FEBRUARY

Transparency of love
In reminiscing once again
Thrills and eventful memories
Titillating this atmospheric day.

Famous gallivanting places
Well dispersed with lovers
Faithfully my wish is you
To dine till twilight.

Love truly defined
From were we began till this day
Tell me this will last forever
Tell me you will always be there.

Lie in my arms and feel homely
Tell the world we are perfect match
Evening tides will keep thisday in memory
There once lived true lovers.

Shortly the pendulum will swing
This 14th day will be over
The nightingale will rehearse its solo

The moonbeam will raise again
And in love we will remain forever.

Cupid's arrows pierce my heart,
Despite love's shifting sands
Never will we two part

Card stolen from Wal-Mart
More than eruptions from my glands
Cupid's arrows pierce my hear

To get to you I took the BART *
IPOD plays my favorite bands,
Never will we two part

I feel the sting of his golden darts
Make of me any demands
Cupid's arrows pierce my heart

Dressed up like a dime-store tart
You held me in your gentle hands
Never will we two part

Your eyes travel my Holy Land

Ready for your commands
Cupid's arrows pierce my heart
Never will we two part.

Taps

My Valentine?
How I wish I could describe him.
He is a dancer...

He waltzes me
Wonderfully to sin.

On the 15th of February
I know he will
Dance on taps if I asked him for no reason
As I would do for him.

I hope your Valentine
Makes you bubble up
With glee!

Take the best of the life you see.

Valentinus the Worthy

Valens, you are esteemed worthy,
at the Via Flaminia you lay:
Valentinus offered up in faith.
Your deeds aren't known in our day.

In this life you wed young couples;
an act the Emperor would not permit.
And though your grace the monarch received,
your execution he did transmit.

Alas, with clubs and stones they came,
challenged by your fortitude great;
whose blows did not complete the deed -
your head severed at Flaminian's Gate.

These days we celebrate Valentine,
dedicate and plan for those we love;
oblivious to how it all began -
the depth of love known only Above.

You and Me: We

Virile you stood, so easy to see
A t-shirt of yellow and well worn blue jeans
Looking you over I came upon
Eyes of soft blue, hair curly, sun-blonde
Nose like a Roman, lips full and wide
Torso stocky, strength in each stride
Into my life you walked with a smile
Nine months later we walked down the aisle
Every year, so far 37
Sharing our love takes us closer to Heaven

Days yet to be
All will be well
You and me: We

A Shitty Valentine

I'm a heart-shaped box of twisted sentiment,
yet still, infused with the sweetest intent,
a sugar-sprinkled arrangement of devotion,
a fragrant love potion, my Valentine.

It can be complicated for the lesser minded,
those who are blinded by the choices,
confused by various voices of reason and emotion,
too confounded to rejoice in the unexpected.

The directives perplex the weaker of the opposite sex,
who choose vanilla, yet taste instead, lemon cream.
Seeming purposely thought out, a scheme, an
overwrought plot meant to vex and obscure saccharine dreams.

But oh, my dear Valentine, please persevere!
Given time, what appears insincere will show itself clearly
as a sublime desire to be entirely what you hold so dearly;
to be yours, and you mine, and us - Valentines.

Valentine

The soft words of romance
Are hard to discover.
They hide in the wood dance
And tempt quiet lovers.

They giggle and spiral
And flit through the trees,
‘Til three of them amble
Through mouths on their knees.

The soft words of my love
Were so thrilling today.
They soared me with white doves,
And emboldened my grey.

They warmed me and charmed me,
And made me delight,
‘Cuz "I love you" is free
And you are my light.

A girl's dream

Everyone paired up
But some only not
Hearts above their heads
As they walk past those who are sitting there all alone
Their hearts hanging by a thread
Wishing someone would come along on this special day
Her mind going "yay."
When she notices him sitting by her with a note saying
"Be my Valentine
"I love you so
"Please don't go
"You are my sun
"That shines on the lake
"Making a masterpiece."
She simply smiles while holding his hand
Knowing somewhere, sometime
he will come and sit with you saying
"I love you"

Velvety. The soft velvet on my fingers.
Awkward. The awkward silence.
Love. I see love where ever I go.
Ever lasting. The everlasting taste of chocolate.
Nectar. The smell of the sweet nectar of the candy.
Touch. The touch of his hand on mine.
"I". I as the soumd of "I love you"
Nature. Human nature I see where ever I go.
Engaging. Of the sweet engaging taste of the ciminon hearts.
Star dazziling. The star dazziling smell of the sweet chalk hearts.

El's Sonnet

Since I tongued your chin and ate as you blushed,
I've loved everyday with you on my cart.
Beg 'n' swoon races should never be rushed,
I'll whimper-"I dooo..", I'll bark-"arp arp!",

Gush at the nesting and little knick-knacks,
Wish we could water bonzi together.
Crack these mirrors, carve your name on my back,
I say it , mean it, I mean forever.

Sadness is never too far from your face,
Try my best, often fall flat on my....socks,
Fat head, with just you and some empty space.
We'll build our house, build our memory box.

For light and white gold, for making you smile,
This took an hour, I hope it's worthwhile.

Days. Are. None.

Days are one: Floors cluttered with footwear, jeans, well remembered dreams from the night before this present state of distaste. Anvil-head is sore, no alcohol in his system. He dresses himself in half-assed fashions. Why would he take a shower? Why would he brush his teeth? He's got a beard that contains fluff from an unknown source, he could lick it off but instead chooses to breath in the fragrance on his duvet. This is not a fresh new day. Weak at the thought of the coming week. He is a pathetic waste of space. Not impressed by his best interpretation of despair, his yearning for the comfort of her best...silly, picky little tick-tock, tock-tick observer, with a penchant for absurd hopeless stares at lop-sided furniture, unaware of the pitiful aura that he projects on every wall, window and face. He's a fucking disgrace.

Days are two: Self imposed pleasures kill his spirit again and again, if you want to, you have to again and again, it goes without saying but the truth is in the doing, so I guess he's true to himself if nothing else. Get yourself together man! There's a long way to go yet. Over and above the nature of acceptable reactions, he feels like a fraction, a single eye ball, or a single leg in a pair of trousers, a single testicle, a single lover on a wedding day, a single earphone, a single chocolate stick in a twix, no longer unique, a single man, with a single desire, incomplete, rinse and repeat hollywood love scenes, dandruff on his scalp, scum on his enamel, caged animal oversaw his own imprisonment, wonders who she's with, wonders if she's thinking about him or perhaps someone else, a timely, nightly SMS kills the bedtime depression, background music is the evening news with a forgettable progression, 'recession, recession, recession', loudly tuts such smut, reasons maybe some things are just more important.

Days are three: Is it easier to be alone? He just can't remember. Easier to dream he had what he has? He just can't remember, he just can't remember what contentment was without her, his routine's in a blender, it's June but Saturday sounds like December, he feels like this now and imagines if this week was forever, eternally severed from his unbelievable reality, this hell is a gift in that he sees what she means to him, sees that he'd bleed every single last drop of well earned blood for her. He sits, he waits, he demonstrates the early stages of potential heart-break, he's in love and he knows it, it scares him to death and he enjoys it, days do not move quickly, the clock is now a stopwatch, countdown to beautiful, he hopes she enjoys her holiday.

Days are four: He tries to distract himself with sport but keeps forgetting scores.

Days are five: Checks his phone. Reasons that he's no longer alive. Checks his phone. Eats breakfast. Checks his phone. Realises that this minimal contact is his lifeline.

Days are six: Day six was nothing but not day seven. He is simply living as a product of a well wisher's wishing well, he's talking too much, he's blinking from the pillow dust, overwhelmed with a want and a need, overcome by a good and great gust of divine lust, that disgusts even himself.

The day is now seven: the days are now done, the day is now one, the days are now none.

ON THE STAGE OF MY HEART

mania of art inspired viewers,

its sparkle dislodged velvety veil ...

A Valentine's Day Acrostic

Angels sang the day we met:

Velvet voices filled my ear
as you swept by, so near and dear;
loveliest maiden I'd seen yet,
enticing eyes and a lively step.
Never knew exactly why
'twas the time that I said "Hi;"
in the way, our race and tongue;
never thought what we'd begun
even now would keep us one,
same as when we were so young.

Dearest one, you made me whole;
always love me, heart and soul.
Years from now, when we've grown old,
still you'll be the one I hold.

Please know this: for all my life,
only you will be my wife;
ever will our love bells ring,
making those sweet angels sing.

Lately...

You burn my eyes with a look
And when your teeth are hostile
Lately I am scared
And a simpleton, fragile
And my face reaches tumbling heights
Lately I thrive
Maybe that was why
Lately I am alive

But in this stead, loose your hands
Your eyes, open to melodies
And you will see there, beneath bark
The sap that you may drink of
I might roll and dance you, till stone is soft

When do you think you've sinned?
Do you fall down, crumple?
Lately I'm a liar
I take it I'm the crutch for the lame
The white of your cold cotton pillowcase
I am not that easy to touch
Lately I'm lonely

Endless Love

The fourteenth day of February
Commemorates Valentine
The patron saint of Lovers
And for those who's hearts entwine

And as this day approaches
I have thought in many ways
How I could show my love for you
In the most special kind of ways

Flowers may be a standby
If chocolate failed to please
Perhaps I could give a golden ring
Whilst down on bended knees

But no matter what I think
To celebrate this lovers day
Deep within my heart I know
There can be no other way

For I shall write a love poem
And in it I would say
My love for you is endless
It could never be for just one day!

The Valentine Choc'late Box

It's Valentine, my darling one,
and on this rosy day
my gift is this love fantasy...
I wonder what you'll say...

I wish I was a choc'late box,
the best you'll ever taste,
all wrapped in shiny cellophane,
pink bow around my waist

I'd lay so luscious in your arms
to slowly be undressed,
you'd open, starting by the ends,
don't think I would protest!

The wrap discarded on the floor,
the satin ribbon too...
your manly hands caress my shape,
it's like a dream come true...

You would breathe in my sweet perfume,
mouthwatering delight...
To this temptation don't resist,
don't even try to fight!

I'd open myself willingly
to each and every kiss
In your extatic mouth I'd melt
and we'd unite in bliss

Historic moment - Until now,
as far as I can tell,
no chocolate had ever heaved
such an orgasmic yell!

But, after flying high, so high,
and tasting all the best,
before we can get even more
I guess we'll need some rest...

Thus I sit here and dream of you,
and with you to entwine...
Please don't disdain this cheeky verse,
my sweet, for Valentine!

The Night the World Stood Still

You came to me like a light in the dark
When everything seemed hopeless
People drinking, glasses clinking,
All faded in my ears, my eyes
The night the world stood still

I saw you laughing in that crowded room
As if by some force, I'm driven to you
You smiled, outstretched your hand to me
I had never seen your face before
The night the world stood still

A complete stranger in front of you
Entranced, I whisper, "You are beautiful..."
To my surprise, lost in blue eyes full of stars
Breathily, you repeat my words
The night the world stood still

Your strong arms held me like a father
Somehow, I felt this was where I belonged
My ear upon your heart, you sigh into me
We were one in that moment
And will always be

Remembering,

The night the world stood still

My Valentine

Velvet touch upon my skin
Aliven me to rise again
Laid upon the satin sheets
Enveloped, entwined as we meet
Nothing but the two of us
Tenderly embraced as we thrust
In passionate dances sharing time
Naked in our pleasures recline
Enjoying the memories, My Valentine

My Lover

Love is an immaculate notion
The love that I feel for my woman
Is much stronger than any potion

When beauty is in the eyes of the beholder
Those are my eyes and I am a vagabond
Who is longing to be beholden

These words come from my heart
This is not artificial sacrifice
I am a mere acolyte of your art
