I read something similar to this and I loved it so much I wanted to see what I could do.

Indigo Sheets

I met someone new.

His hair is the same color and texture as yours.
And he listens to the same music, and he sings along off key like you.
He is taller and much skinnier than you, but has the same temperament.
He lets me sit in his favorite chair while he heats microwavable meals in his tiny kitchen.
We laugh at the same things and growing up he used to watch the same Saturday morning cartoons.
He makes conversation easier than you did, but I learned more from a silent car ride with you.
His friends aren't so sure about me, just like yours.
We fight just as much as you and I did, but he and I fight about what radio station rather than money or school or life.
He makes fun of me for the same things.
Sometimes he looks at me and just smiles.
We trade secrets and CDs the same as you and I.
And we try and keep up with each other as best we can.
He eats his dumplings with both chopsticks, rather than stabbing it like you.
He plays hockey, but I don't think he can run as fast as you.
I never thought that he'd be like this, that we'd end like this.

Reilley
I liked the way you compare and contrast two lovers, without giving either one the edge. ;-)

This really gets close, somehow, and in a lovely, unpretentious way. Well done!
