The child I can't remember
You're the child I can't remember.You're the child I can't forget.
You're the pain I can't get rid of.
You're the sadness in my chest.
Lead my way and I'll follow thee.
I'll lead your way and you will see.
Memories of aching blue
can turn into something true.
Lay down beside me and rest your heart.
I'll take your hand, we'll never part.
Cause I am you and you are me
and all along we couldn't see.
Things we can't remember and things we can't forget.
It's hard to be a sorrow, hard to take a breath.
Close the circle, find the child
and you will find peace of mind.
You're the pain I can't get rid of.
You're the sadness in my chest.
You're the child I can't remember.
You're the child I can't forget.
