English Challenge
Come lay and let me lie to youHe said as he laid in the bed,
"I don't know if I correctly
said what I thought I said."
English has so many quirks
like to and two and too
Then there's their
and they're everywhere
It's hard to keep them straight
Then and than get out of hand
when people don't relate.
And regardless of what is stated
irregardless has never been
No such word was taught to me
in school way back when
Pacific was an ocean
and not a particular thing
That would be specific
as; "I want that exact ring."
The English language is tricky
in grammer and punctuation
But everyone should learn it
to live in this nation.
Peculiar spellings and meanings
challenge the smartest minds
So count all the mistakes I've made
in writing down these lines.
