I have tried to put a day's experience into words.... hope you will enjoy

Silence

The early morning breeze
Surrounds me and covers me up
Enfolding me in a close embrace
Singing into my ears a beautiful melody
A melody filled silence.

The dewdrops as they open their sleepy eyes
And then dancing merrily
Rolls from leaf to leaf
With their mirth-filled laughter
A ringing silence.

The flowers in their best apparels on
Smile silently as butterflies and bees
Kiss their lovely faces
And make them lurch merrily
A merry silence.

Through the day as I ponder
Over the moments gone by
And the memories that keep rolling in
I feel lost in the labyrinth
Of a memory filled silence.

And yes the day rolls by
In the silence of the daily hustle
Softly and steadily
Quietening the heart
Into a beating silence.

And then in the stillness of the dark
Under the starry veil
I sit and stare to see the reflection
Of my silent lonely being
And an inner vibrating silence.

And when you in silence speak
Through your quiet nothingness and breath
Yes, I know you have said enough
And you have expressed enough to me
To trust your silence.

And I know that through these silent moments
When the heart speaks not words
I have communicated more than words can ever say
And have spoken silently
How much I need you in my silent world.

Kathy Lockhart
it is in these silences that we hear ourselves and if we believe, we hear the voice(s) of our loved one(s).

a lovely flowing text. :) kathy

Beautifully written, so gentle. The presence of a "quiet nothingness" does have a power almost too intense to fathom. Somehow, absence is stronger than presence. Or, it may be.
