Optimistic

She feels optimistically beautiful today,
perhaps the sun will surely shine
and the eyes beside her smile
while she pours juice into glasses
and listens to the news.
Today, could be a sunny day
if given half the chance,
the windows will glisten,
showing smudges she missed
and the nose print
of hope looking out.
A crumb left on the bird table,
perhaps he will smile today
and say
'hey, you look beautiful,
I love the way the sun shines
it brightens up your hair'.
She feel beautiful,
cautiously, optimistic
that he'll be
here tomorrow.
