Loneliness

Plagued by guilt in doubt of mind
Beguiled by your wisdom a friend of mine
A feeling of emotion being raped inside
Disgust and hatred at my side
Tormented by sarcasm
A feeling of loneliness you cannot hide
To an endless truth
that there is nobody
at my side.

I'd have to agree with Ade, I love
the line "Tormented by sarcasm"
but it does briefly break the flow
of the poem, like when a favourite
song skips while it's playing.

On a positive, the feeling of hopelessness
has hit me hard, as I am a very visual person,
I can not only see the person, but feel how
upset they are - it has actually inspired me to write a poem -
& that makes me upset for the person. THAT"S
what makes this a great poem, for me, the fact
it's evoked such feelings in me.
