Did you ever see a movie preview
that drew you in immediately,
that captivated you right from the start,
right from the first voice over ,
when the camera is flying over some epic locale,
to the point where you were disappointed
when the three minutes were over,
and you were left with your popcorn
and some movie you knew wasn't going to compare now,
so you just sipped your cherry coke, brooding
over having to wait another eight months to see it,
And when the day finally rolled around,
you raced home after work and took an afternoon nap,
so you could stay up late and go to the midnight showing,
because you just couldn't stand the idea
of suffering through another tedious day
before finally getting to relish
the drama and the romance and the action
that you waited so long for,
and when the credits rolled and they raised the house lights,
you walked out in a pensive daze
trying to convince yourself that it was ok,
because you had made such a huge deal
about wanting to see it so badly,
but in the car ride home you quietly realize
that despite the hype and the huge budget
and the stars and how fantastic it looked
that it really really really sucked?

oh gosh this one made me chuckle. i love the fast past run on lines that read just like someone full of words and and and and while telling a story that just has to be told without a breath until the last word is spoken. and the answer is, 'yes.'
