This was inspired by a visit to a church containing a stunning stained glass window designed by William Peckitt.
Dropped my glass jaw,
Such was the awe
I felt in that frame,
Pieces of light came
Into sharp relief,
Christ next to a thief,
Next to another,
Brothers and brother,
Sharing the pain
In that perfect pane,
Place of the skull,
We'll hang here until
Heaven comes down,
Don't wear a frown,
Moved is the stone,
Moved, I'm not alone.

Lasting stain
I saw a glass jigsaw,Dropped my glass jaw,
Such was the awe
I felt in that frame,
Pieces of light came
Into sharp relief,
Christ next to a thief,
Next to another,
Brothers and brother,
Sharing the pain
In that perfect pane,
Place of the skull,
We'll hang here until
Heaven comes down,
Don't wear a frown,
Moved is the stone,
Moved, I'm not alone.
