Happy Independence Day to all my fellow Americans
on this and every Fourth of July.
The crowd oohs and ahhs with every boom.
In the air the smell of sulphur looms.
To some a feeling of pride will rise.
Patriotism with tears in eyes.
Thoughts of those who fought and died,
of moms and widows that cried and cried.
A nation created by God's own hand,
America is the world's great land.
People come from the planet wide
to taste the freedoms here inside.
The USA is truly blessed
And is miles above all the rest.
So as you go and have your fun
Stop and think of all that was done.
To allow you to think and do and say
Whatever is on your mind today.

The Twilights Last Gleaming
Lights flash and sparkle in the skyon this and every Fourth of July.
The crowd oohs and ahhs with every boom.
In the air the smell of sulphur looms.
To some a feeling of pride will rise.
Patriotism with tears in eyes.
Thoughts of those who fought and died,
