They Called Her Easy
She was sad and lonely, so lost and confused.Tired of being broken-hearted, tired of being used.
Every time she fell in love, she wound up getting hurt.
She'd give them what they wanted, they'd treat her like dirt.
They called her Easy, but Sally was her name.
Loving was her only crime. Isn't that a shame?
No one ever loved her, no one ever cared.
She has so much love to give but has no one to share.
She walks along the dead end street with tears in her eyes.
Crying over the latest jerk that filled her head with lies.
She climbs over the wooden fence along the railroad track,
To throw herself into the train and never once look back.
They called her Easy, but Sally was her name.
Loving was her only crime. Isn't that a shame?
No one ever loved her, no one ever cared.
She has so much love to give but has no one to share.
Standing by the railroad track, waiting by the rail.
Was a sad and lonely man, just released from jail.
Feeling he had lost the chance for a life worthwhile,
He saw her coming through the trees and he began to smile.
They began to talk as they waited for the train.
They talked about their horrid lives and how it was a strain.
Suddenly they changed their minds, together walked away.
Arm in arm they left the tracks and they're together still today.
They called her Easy, but Sally was her name.
Loving is her only crime. Isn't that a shame?
Now somebody loves her, now somebody cares.
Now they have a happy life together that they share.
