Fishing for Stars
Diamonds flash on sun-lit ripples
A reflection of stars in the blue sky.
While clouds sail in waters green
and summer's winds play
in the swaying sycamores,
I cast a line into heaven
and catch the eye of
God watching me
through the glimmering
wink of the floating stars.
And there I find peace
where my world is magically whimsical.
I am helplessly taken away
back to my innocence
by the dragon flies, carrying me
upon their lithe backs,
while their delicate wings
quietly lull me to sleep,
along the soft grassy banks
of my upside down world--
Where the stars twinkle in daylight
and trees stand on their mighty limbs
to catch magnificents clouds
in their leafy crowns.
I am a part of this happening.
For now I, too, see myself in the watery sky
becoming one with the dream
one with the reality
that all are one and one is all.
Let me drift.
Let me smile.
Let it be.
