This poem was first posted in 2006 when England lost the Ashes series to Australia playing away from home. This may be a little premature but after today's result at Lord's, who knows?
The run-rate to increase,
He wields his mighty bat,
And cries out, 'Take that',
Six sixes he gladly smashes,
Freddie's regained the Ashes!
Freddie's about to bowl,
An Aussie wicket the goal,
He lets loose a yorker,
What a cracking corker,
Middle stump crashes,
Freddie's regained the Ashes!

A fantasy about Freddie Flintoff
Freddie takes the crease,The run-rate to increase,
He wields his mighty bat,
And cries out, 'Take that',
Six sixes he gladly smashes,
Freddie's regained the Ashes!
Freddie's about to bowl,
An Aussie wicket the goal,
He lets loose a yorker,
What a cracking corker,
Middle stump crashes,
Freddie's regained the Ashes!
