In relationships we sometimes forget that as all good stories there is an opening chapter, a middle finally a conclusion but never an end.

Forget - Me - Not.

Don't consider that my feelings for you have gone,
As the cold wind drives spindrift on winter snows.
I gaze into your eyes and wonder at their depth,
Memories of wonder, laughter, passion ever glows.

Please remember when we last touched in love,
How warm your hand taking long autumn forest walk,
I feel your breath, smell your essence, my senses reel,
Desire mounting as we sit holding hands and talk.

Never forget how you changed my empty life,
As summer sun warms our faces through sweetest rain.
I sense your presence even now,but no longer mine,
Dreams that stay forever, shared shadows to ease the pain

I am not a fan of the soppy love stuff, but I liked this, especially the last verse. Very well done.

Kathy Lockhart
this touches my heart Sid. Your imagery evokes such pathos.
