as the world turns...

entrapment

shadowed swallows dart

inside my linen lined head

mixing black and white

to grey

seals

diving

rolling in the mouths

of black and white whales

spewing the salty sea

through ebony-eyed swallows

darting inside this grey tattered linen

trapped with no way out.

This is one of your best efforts. The images are sharp and very effective.

Beautifully written, but somehow a sad, disturbing write, the title and the final line emphasise this.

Wow! Yes, there is such a beautiful rhythm, and this then puts an interesting twist into the message of the poem.

Dear Kathy, you are a master of language. The pictures you paint here are simply marvellous, and the rhythm is excellent, as always. Your way with words is so inspiring, please never stop.
