The years

I yearn for the sea, like navy men
Again

Again i have learned that love will not give
anything but pain

Because, in the end it is all that matters
what you feel
when it's all over
only pain is real

waters run so silent
into the deepest night
i must not cry but I do
inside of me I fight

the part that moved on
thousand years ago
the part in human nature
that just does not want to know

when the sun dies
when it is done shining
when the morning never comes
when the world starts hiding

you know when the day comes
the day we yearned for, like navy men for the sea
when that day comes
you shall know the true me

what will you be now, my true friend
will you ever tell anyone, your secrets again
I know and you know, that you will remember
but I no longer yearn

Your first line is brilliant, I can identify with it so well, but yes when true love arrives you will know, but the in between is your poem.

Love can do many things, bring complete security!a safety blanket, but when being in love and that love is seperated
from ones soul,,its true, one has to die first and the pain
can be so great, but love always mends a broken heart
in time again
nice to read you again
lovey write very moving

I feel that you are writing about the futility of love. I could not agree more, even if love lasts for a lifetime, one of you has to die first. Love always ends in pain, for whatever reason. It does not matter if it's sexual or parental love. It's a great poem you wrote.
