Lost love.
Somewhere safe in your Autumnless mind -
By which I mean
There was a time so kind -
So very rare
This aching world
Chose to carry us there:
That brief belonging
Called me to care...
Know this my dear:
Loneliness teaches what company can't,
And I revere
All we should be but aren't -
And who can say
Which inner stranger enticed you away:
That brief belonging,
Ended today...

That Brief Belonging
Keep the leaves greenSomewhere safe in your Autumnless mind -
By which I mean
There was a time so kind -

That brief belonging
Called me to care...
Know this my dear:
Loneliness teaches what company can't,
