I had a dream. A nurse and an old flame flashing by. One lived in the old town of Malmoe, the other in Stockholm. When she started humming, I awoke.
She kind of hop skip-jumped when she walked
I knew that I had met her
she kind a hop skip jumped when she walked
I knew I met her long ago
her voice and sweetness when she talked.
And she remembered very well
that I used to sing something from Kenny
but I could not remember what song
She started humming and I knew this can't be wrong.
She was the perfect woman for me
She was the one I waited for so long
She was so cute, her touching smiling eyes
She said : Would you like to have a cup of tea?
I met her in the streets of my home town
Downtown in those blocks of rose and thorn
She asked
Will you go with me to my house
so I can change and ask you who you are.
Come with me, let's take a little walk
to the quay looking at the stormy sea
or should we stay here at my fireplace
so we can talk, and would you hold my hand?
About the times that never come
about our dreams that never have come true.
So I stayed and we talked the whole night through
She cuddled up so close next to me
could not think where had I been those years
When it was here, by her, that I was free.
She touched my mind and said you've travelled far
her voice so warm so kind
I have wondered all the time where you have been
I have wondered all the time where you are.
Truly belonged
Long after my hopes were gone.
She was the perfect woman for me
She was the one I waited for so long
She was so cute, her touching smiling eyes
She said : Would you like to have a cup of tea?
But I answered: Would you like to marry me?
