A Poet

"You don't know it
You're a poet"
How many times it's said
Of course I know it
I'm a poet
It's up here in my head
I've words and rhymes and couplets
Whirring round inside my brain
But to get them down on paper is driving me insane
What do you rhyme with orange?
And why is this line too long
Cat doesn't match with antidisestablishmentarianism
I've gone and got that wrong
So I'll think I'll give up poems
And stick to prose instead
But I've still got words and sentences
Whirring round inside my head.

the orange dorhinge ,

the dore now fermaly shut ,
the orange doringe painted ,
the orignge dorrhinge , banged ,
the wear of time wears away ,
the oringe dorhinge , no longer ,
what it were.

In Yorkshier dialect it works well . lol

In all of us are poetry , prose , now at last poetry hss few if any rules. We the poets , create our own rules. I think the war poets , liberated poetry just by writing as they thought. As the words came to them , well it works fore me.

Poetic prose or poetry? There is no difference other than the sentencing!lol
