POET BAY
Flagged up my poetry mentality
Through the channel of my pen
Bluffing an informal wisdom
Across poetry folks
A little best I fought to realise
As I kept revolving in my sanctuary
Of black knowledge from a black brain
The accolade I thought much
Words and paragraphs swept me off
In this mysterious bay of poets
Where I admired and was admired
In disarray of contemplation
The true depiction of me
Was encountered between the lines
Relentlessly I kept to the heat
Of critique and dialogue
Expedition of endlessness
My brain has embarked on
My pen in hope for the best
Someday on this bay
