Love Lingers While Hope Grows
When we lose the one we love
To the hands of heaven's call
It's hard to say goodbye
If we can ever say it at all
For there is left a hole
Where once a flower did bloom
It's empty of all seedlings
A dark and barren room
And never shall a flower
Grow through deadened earth
But a garden is still awaiting
For new seedlings to give birth
And in time the hole still lingers
But is surrounded by beauty complete
When once again an angel
Will come to sit at your feet
