leaves all golden on the trees and sunshine from the east, snow-flurries from the northwest

First snow

harbinger
of harshest cold
glowing rowan ash
sundrenched yellow maples

diagonal streaks of timid snow
the world folds her arms
time for time out
from growing
pains
