Take me there
I lost her face in the cloudsAll look alike as darkness falls
Down the town square
I get walked against
I get pushed around
Scared I am reaching up
To a place seemed far above,
Let me wake by you darling
Wrapped in your arms
When the morning comes.
I sink down into my tub
I hold my breath
I wish to drown
With blurred vision I'm looking up
To a place seemed far above
I cannot go through those gates
Where my love was towed,
She pulled me up
My vision got clear
I inhaled her presence
My chest was filled with air.
I go to bed at the days end
I fall to my knees once again.
"Take me there God
Carry my soul to heaven
Give me a place by her side
I beg you
amen."
I close my eyes
And I see us together
I will beg of you nothing more
If you let me sleep forever.
