Romance and a poet

There I was...

There I was...

There I was to meet her
to dwell in her love as a swan
She met me with love and smiles
reached me as a cloud in the air
Her hands carried me as a cradle
There I was playing as a child
She was an angel among flowers
I was her lover, yes I was her lover
Many an eye stared at us with envy
the breeze and moon behaved as enemies
Her face made the flowers to wither
Her smile made stars to hide in the clouds
I enjoyed life with her
As a friend and a lover
