I could never properly turn into poetry such beauty as what we felt that night. Here is my meager attempt to put that sweet eternity into words.


Glow

we lie together
our bodies relaxed
blessed with kisses
it is dark
but it is a warm
darkness
our own private
dream world
a sanctuary
this is a secret
castle
i have built in
your arms
and you
are my prince charming
i feel
your bare
chest against mine
your heart pounding
through your skin
sending vibrations
coursing through my
ribs
a soft light awakens
a creamy glow in
your cheeks
bringing tears
springing to my eyes
unbidden
washing away
any doubt or discomfort
or fear
here
this is where i belong
close against you
i need no other
confirmation
than your eyes
their soft
shining glory
you tell me in
velvet whispers
"you wish you could see you
right now"
and i know
i know it is my love
that you see
it glows
i feel beauty
inside me
inside you
surrounding us in
the gentle dark
with its subtle embrace
its acceptance
i know in this moment
we are one
we are infinite
nothing will ever
be lonely again
and i can feel us
glowing
