The Void
I'd forgotten thatit's been a long time
since I heard the birds sing
the beautiful rain kissing the land
and the colourful bow
covering the land in its loving embrace
and all the beautiful feelings
Life had been beautiful
I still remember the day
I first met her
it was the fair
she was with her friends
charming smile and dark eyes
that lured me to her
before I could realize anything
I found myself in love
Our eyes clashed
beautiful face flushed
after a long time of
courting and waiting
the two different hearts
completely different from each other
like the two currents
the equatorial and the polar
dissolved into each other
breeding love one after another
Life turned into prayer
ceaseless and fruitful
a dream that fulfills
the fantasy of a youthful heart
in that blissful state
I forgot the fact that
pleasure and happiness is momentum
it comes with hopes and promises
and leaves a huge void
that increases day and night
making one sick...fatally sick
In this cruel world
meeting followed by parting
birth followed by death
Is this the curse
that befell on Adam and Eve
In my despsration
I tried to fill in the void
with music and drugs
I sang all day
I danced all night
but the void is still in me
growing by leaps and bound...
