Hoping Against Hope

I had a home my friend
in a country like heaven
I had a family my friend
loving caring and sharing
now I have none
my country is snatched away
by the greedy hands
my family is turned into dust
by the enemy of human

Now I'm all alone
hiding myself in a foreign land
trying to fit in
In a new life
hoping that
one day
I could recover all
like king David
I'm hoping against hope...

A very moving poem. You have faced tragedy and great loss. We cannot often understand tragic events in our lives. But as Christians, we know the One who does understand. We must trust God through those difficult times. "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 "I can do everything through him who gives me strength." Philipians 4:13

Very sad poem, I am familiar with the title and some biblical examples written here. Thanks for sharing your heart and we hope and pray with you that you will find your way to heaven's happiness for you in the home where your heart is safe.

Sir , I read this poem with great sadness and yes hart. Life can be like a darknes in a long tunnel. Our eyes looking down , tears fill our eyes. But we must lift our eyes , look in front. Look forward , we will see a light yes it flickers . We must keep our eyes foust , for that candle is held by hope. Guiding us to the end of the tunnel. Hope is some times all we have , loose sight of the light , then the candle light will be lost.
