Listen, listen closely;
Can you hear the whispers?
Silk upon steel; layer upon layer
A snake slithering among dried leaves
Listen closely and still your prayer
True courage is required;
Yes, strength of mind is needed
Daggers of ice flitting along your spine
You can hear them know; the sobs
The dried-up tears; all of which are mine
Claws holding fast to your exposed hide
Tearing, shredding, flaying away
Relentlessly removing all false pride
Please, deny it no longer
The poorly hidden fear in your eyes
Gives away the words for which i hunger
You know them now, heed them well
My shrieks, my wails, rending apart
Your cold and long-forgotten heart
