This moment

Daring profundity I slow down,
facing what is inevitable.
Time's trying process collides
with the very intention of expression,
the dance too subsides,
fortifying what must be said.

There is but this one moment,
caught in the middle of history
and the best of all intentions.
The distance between what has been
and what will inevitably come
carries your name but a short while.

Webs within circles of abstraction
often holds your attention
as day follow moon
on its way to forgetfulness.
Electric nights of wakefulness
is but a big sized watchful eye.

A smile that cuts across all beds
blows all earnest intentions
just the bit needed to light the hall
and the fuse that follows.
Never looking back
finds the wind irresistible.
