Headache
I have a headacheIt came to say,
"You shall not rest
in peace this day"
Why this happens
I do not know
but as sure as it comes
I know it will go
The trick for me
is to make up my mind
that worry will cease
and my thoughts will unwind
Whether or not
I win or lose
depends on how well
I ignore and choose
If I stand my ground
and refuse to allow
negative thoughts
to go on the prowl
and pay no attention
to things that don't matter
but can pester a person
till they're mad as a hatter
Then I can starve a headache
of its life force
and speed its demise
with some asprin of course
To accept it and do nothing
to bring it to its end
would simply be foolish
no logic could defend
