If God Exists

Find your Jesus
Who is your keeper
What is your savior?

You are the spirit
Who saves your soul

Where is your God?
Only your spirit can tell
And that is your intuition
Who guides you
Who tells you what
Is right from wrong

You can talk to God until
you run out of breath
Where you are down
on your knee's begging!!

It is the one who begs for their life
that God listens too?
Begging for mercy
Begging to live
Begging for the love of God
To save you!

Find your Jesus
Who is your keeper
What is your savior?

"Jesus Christ"!
"Bloody Hell"!
We will shout in anger!
Son of a bitch!
Who is the son of a bitch?
I wonder?

Find your Jesus
Who is your keeper?
What is your savior?

So help your God
When your in danger

God be with you?
You better hope to God
hears your time in need of:

Misery
Sorrow
Pain
Hurt
Sadness
happiness
Anger
Defeat
sickness
Health
Disease
War
Poverty!
Love
Hate
Depression
Starvation
Natural Disaster
Self harm
Suicide
Death

Find your Jesus
Who is your keeper
What is your savior?

I wonder in my time of death to come
Will Jesus,my keeper and my savior
Stand before me..

God as my witness
Hear my prayers and save me
As I take my last breath...

Phyllis J. Rhodes
Brutally honest, challenging words. Sincere and provocative. I'm certain the uncertainty in this work is shared by many who search for the "whos" and "whats" that define the purpose of life. I really like the construction of this poem. It is descriptive of a long search with some false prizes found along the way. You know you need a Savior and so you are looking for one. I like the irony of the near profane use of God and Jesus' names as they are used millions of times every day, while you are searching for them. I think it is representative of so many people's search. Excellent work. I will tell you that my search ended where it started, with God and His Son Jesus. There was nothing out there better or with more proof of truth.
