Sweetheart's Symphony

Beneath the rose arbor
with pink petals spread upon their bed
a man and a woman entangled
encircled with wreaths upon their heads

Blue birds, curious, linger
while humming birds dart from flow'r to flow'r
butterflies soften in morning's dawning
alighting to watch from hour to hour

The dew drops are dripping, plopping
puddles of pooling pure honey
Sweethearts sleep in their fawning
cradled by a natural symphony

I must have missed this one, I can feel the quiet and breathe the sweet air, I love the last two lines. It's good to read your poetry seems to have been a long time.

pure sweetness. A perfect picture of sweetness. All things sweet. I smell the sweet air, I feel the sweet breeze, I hear the sweet sounds of birds and wings. Deliciously sweet.

dripping in alliteration, soft on the lip, pulsating love entwined in petals of joy; this write makes me grow into a flower

Kathy, you paint interesting pictures. Somewhere, in my distant past I seem to remember an album cover that was not unlike the inanimate part of this.
Nice to see you back.
