a sweet little flower that looks like a bouquet and blooms early spring and fall here in Southern Indiana in front of my house.

Primroses Cheer

The Primroses rose
in bouquets on display
at my front door
as I opened it today

The first Spring burst
from God's finger paints
offered through Earth
for sinners and saints

Petals red and yellow
and pure bridal white
surrounded with green leaves
that make them bright

Hugging the ground
they carpet the way
between stepping stones
where honey bees play

The Primroses bloom
at least twice every year
just when I need
a life-boosting cheer

I have a host of bright yellow Primroses in my garden. They seem to bloom all summer long. I look forward to their arrival after the fanfare of the crocuses!
Thanks Phyllis
