A lover's self-pity
And as his face washes away in a distance of feelingsclose to you is the furthest he's been
so insignificant when love vacates for self-pity;
racing chest
your stomach aches
mind still lingering, as if it has not yet heard
and burning eyelids, forced open
to cry is a weakness only dispensable by the strong
Consolation only in
the small satisfaction of suffering in loneliness
worshipping the dark creature feeding on pain
Wishing for salvation and resurrection
as its fowl grin's eating you from the inside
spreading disease as it feasts
Eve,
you look for recognition, you look for acknowledgment
you look for a love to replace the one you lost
But, Eve, you look for it poorly
you look for love out of love for yourself
