Ownership

Speaking sighs of abiding sorrow,
Tenderness, and suffering.
Bygone love, the necessity of possibility,
Hope and waiting.

Striving toward the elusive destination of the
Inviolable and nontransferable.
A sweet security and
The expectation of trust.

The forfeiture of power,
To be protected and destroyed by another.
Equally owned and owner.

A fine balance.
Powerlessness and the confidence of ownership.
