Heart-searching
Where is my heart?it lies in childhood,
sometimes,
playful, bright
regular and rhythmic
its cadence
freefalling.
I found my heart,
gave it away,
too easily,
quivering, questioning,
it's resting place,
temporary.
It stopped belonging,
anywhere,
painful, aching,
please apply love
maybe I'll find it,
again.
