Some former ministers in Kenya who had to step aside
or resign over corruption allegations still swagger
around like they own the world.I dedicate this poem to
them.

Mr Village Tyrant

MR VILLAGE TYRANT

We knew you before you became the village tyrant,
when you were a polite, humble, respectable man.
What happened when they made you the Village Headman?
your appetite increased, everything you saw you had to
own.
Started salivating over every chunk of food,
gathering wealth,using the village resources.
Walking around as if you own the whole world,
refusing to disclose your sudden wealth.

Refusing to disclose your sudden wealth led to
suspicion;
suspicion of how you suddenly became so rich.
Your activities, your conduct raised so many queries.
The Village Chief had to set you free, free from the
duties of being the village headman.

Still, you stubbornly insist on being arrogant, yet you
have been banned from visiting the shopping malls.
You accuse the shop owners of being against you,but
cant you see that you plotted your own downfall.
Mr Village Tyrant, why dont you humble yourself,
you claim to be innocent, but you act like you're
hiding something.
You got yourself into this mess, dont blame it on
anyone else.
Mr Village Tyrant..stop shedding those crocodile
tears.

Welcome to the Bay
my extremely talented friend.

You bring a different point of view
to the Bay and it is great to
read as it makes us realise how
a lot of us take things for granted.

Liz.

P.S: Can I add you as a friend?

"cant you see that you plotted your own downfall."
Very aptly put, Dear Mike.
Corruption is such a heady wine,
For those who once get drunk on it,
Just can't stop indulging in Orgy of all Kind!!!!!
