Unrequited love.
The Love Letter
He sought a place of solitude
for this was no easy endeavor.
Somehow he must let her know
that his heart was hers forever.
Baring his soul to his lady,
he searched for words to express
how she had filled his senses,
and banished his loneliness.
He spoke of sunshine and laughter,
recalling nights of bliss,
drowning in her smile,
knowing her breath-taking kiss.
Then gently folding the pages,
he sent his undying devotion.
But the letter came back marked 'return',
The seal he had kissed, unbroken.
