Happy Ever After

It wasn't all that long ago I was feeling sad and blue.
Happiness avoided me; I didn't know just what to do.
I went through the motions, took one day at a time.
There were so many days I thought that I'd lose my mind.

Then one day, out of nowhere, I met a special one.
She made me smile, she made me laugh and we had a lot of fun.
Meeting her brought me from the brink of disaster.
Could she, would she be my happy ever after?

She's so sweet, so funny and oh so much fun.
I love her dearly, she's the only one.
She filled my heart with song and brought back my laughter.
To me she means everything. She's my happy ever after.

This lady that I'm speaking of is so warm and kind.
She is the kind of beautiful that will blow your mind.
Did I say she's wonderful? She really is a peach.
I'd live happily ever after, walking on her beach.
