Ride This Carousel

Day in day out it's the same old thing.
I guess it's time for a new routine.
I have to change up this daily grind.
Maybe it's time for a new career,
Or get a little closer to that someone dear.
I need to do something or I'll lose my mind.

Better to make a life than make a living,
Better to forget the take and do more giving.
Happiness is life's brass ring.
As you ride this carousel
Be your best, give 'em hell
A new song you will soon sing!

I'm not saying my life is a bore.
I'm just looking for something more.
I need to gamble a bit and take a chance.
Life is way too short to have regret
For things that haven't happened yet.
It's time to live the dream, dance the dance.

Better to make a life than make a living,
Better to forget the take and do more giving.
Happiness is life's brass ring.
As you ride this carousel
Be your best, give 'em hell
A new song you will soon sing!

I've heard it said a time or two
You either eat the dog or it eats you.
Sitting on the sidelines won't win the game.
No matter how the dice are rolled,
Your destiny is in your control.
Get up, get out and stake your claim.

Better to make a life than make a living,
Better to forget the take and do more giving.
Happiness is life's brass ring.
As you ride this carousel
Be your best, give 'em hell
A new song you will soon sing!
