This poem is about one of the best feelings in my life, and I swear that it will never leave my memory.
Illuminated
Your body was so delicately wrapped up
In the reflected light off the snow
Through my blinded window,
And your smile was shadowed by my smile
As we lay there,
Harmonized.
The neon time illuminated our faces,
And the rest was unknowingly known
In the darkness of the quiet room.
Our minds were distant,
Yet so close.
Your fingers along my back,
Tracing, drawing, memorizing,
Were tiny, freezing rain drops
That made me shiver in excitement and relaxation.
Our eyes spoke every little word,
Which are now forever etched in my mind,
My heart.
Our mouths only moved when we shared small secrets
That slowly flowed into our souls,
And made everything glow in the night.
Peaceful.
Beautiful.
