I chose to pick three literary gods whom I cherish their write ups thats all abt this poem.
I flip through the leaves of literary legendaries
With immortal smile and overwhelmed heart
Anticipating in large fulfillment
The power of fiction and intellectualism
The undying memory was the first (William Shakespeare)
Trembling me in his monopoly creative works
Named the epic master of drama and poetry
And far beyond the description of our time
Many more to mention my heart was awestruck
When I ran across my father's brother's son (Chinua Achebe)
Who took his fleet through the metal bird
To dissimulate literary works
In African tongue to the white world
A decade before the transition of my birth
I tilt to his ace of timeless success
Awaking the spirit of literary minds
To conceive the wisdom upon their pen
For far-famed and history
I became mentally intoxicated for my brother's wife son (Wole Soyinka)
Hailing from the western part of my father's land
The 86th Noble Laurent of our time
In his front line trenches for literature
Flipping through the last chapters
Set before me a "Polished and Published vain Poet"
Nameless by name
Left creeping with his pen for recognition
He made history to himself
Existed in the boundaries of his desire
Ended up in the happiness of his works
A poet to remember, nihilism by name
