Freedom
For the the cause of freedom the weak become strongFor the cause of freedom the fearful prod on
For the cause of freedom the careful take risks
For the cause of freedom unity exists
For the cause of freedom the poor sacrifice
For the cause of freedom the rich pay any price
For the cause of freedom the meek rise to lead
For the cause of freedom young and old will bleed
But when freedom's fire is allowed do die
the strong become weak and the fearful comply
Risk is seen as an option to avoid
And the cause for unity is soon destroyed
The poor and the rich hord what they have
Using things and money as a numbing salve
Abadoning leadership the meek withdraw
And the will to bleed will leave us all
What once gave us pupose will cost too much
And we'll forget the life in freedom's touch
It is our nature to make freedom our quest
But deny it when deceptions offer rest
Freedom is not the easiest way
There is always a price to pay
But it gives our hearts a reason to beat
And a desire to stand on our own two feet
It brings satisfaction to our minds
It losens the tangles of choking vines
That stiffle our wills and privilige of choice
It opens our eyes and gives us a voice
Freedom is one of God's greatest gifts
It is why our souls and spirits exist
Relinquishing it to other's control
Sells out our nature as well as our soul
Freedom is our responsibility to fill
If we don't take it other's will
