You don't ask for much... It's what the everybody thinks you're worth...

Little girl in a big girl's dress

Her eyes are brown
So are his
Her skin is tanned
His - beautiful like snow
Her blood is brown like muddy streams
His blood is white like a moonbeam

To the world, he's a gift
To her, just the boy next door
Who promised he loves her more
than anybody ever has
than anybody ever will

She doesn't ask for much
just a little of his time,
a little of his smiles,
only all of his kisses
and all of his heart

The boy sighs,
"You can't be the only one"
The voice in her head cries,
"Cruel girl, You come in the way!"
The 'people' sneer,
"Silly girl, Don't you see?
He's a messiah,
An Angel on Earth"

They all say,
"Beware!
Only if you dare,
Take him away
But cursed be you if you do!"

She's frightened
Her heart tightens
She turns around
But the boy-next-door is nowhere to be found
The one who loved her,
had left her.
Already on the other side
He said, "Don't be a child.
Look beyond.
I wasn't yours.
It's time,
to give it back,
give it all back."

So she passes her empty days
And passes her empty nights
Wondering what she asked for that was too much
People laugh
Heaven smiles
They say,

"You're just a little girl
Playing in a big girl's dress"

This one was more like a story. It had my attention from the start till the end. But I think the guy in this needs a good spanking for treating the girl that way :)
