My first poem!
I couldn't shed a tear. She had walked away with my heart
My heart is sure to travel,
Over golden sands and sharp gravel
But I am sure it will return,
With her safe in an urn
Yes it will come back to me
Just as the sun rises every morn over the sea
I will jump with glee
Under this same pillared tree
Then we shall never part
She wouldn't possibly carry again the burden of my heart
Along the beach we will walk
Hand in hand, a beautiful future we will chalk
The ancient winds will blow through our hair
Blowing away all traces of despair
Then the rains came down
And washed away my musings of a new dawn
The heavens cried for me.

When the Heavens Cried
I sat under the banyan tree and watched her partI couldn't shed a tear. She had walked away with my heart
My heart is sure to travel,
Over golden sands and sharp gravel
But I am sure it will return,
With her safe in an urn
Yes it will come back to me
Just as the sun rises every morn over the sea
I will jump with glee
Under this same pillared tree
Then we shall never part
She wouldn't possibly carry again the burden of my heart
Along the beach we will walk
Hand in hand, a beautiful future we will chalk
The ancient winds will blow through our hair
Blowing away all traces of despair
Then the rains came down
And washed away my musings of a new dawn
The heavens cried for me.
