listening to Ayo Technology by Fifty Cent and Justin Timberlake moved me to write a poem that keeps the beat of the music
the gods in their mansions peep out in engagement
as casket is mounted on winged trailers flying
readied for bearing to rainbows on heavens
colours transcending in feverish compliance
fill up the arteries and veins with repentance
and all that is sordid is basking in brightness
am humble in spirit the soul pleads in judgement
never transgressing the grammar of conduct
honest of purpose corruption a stranger
scoundrels are mongrels and thieving a sore
my dirt is washed clean and heart is a palace
nothing untoward can walk through the door
pardon my errors and sins of omission
come in and sit down the gods beat their drums
shower forgiveness for servant repentant
bring up the chalice and pour him some wine
and feast on colours with veins overflowing
angels rejoice in their new found fulfilment
announce contentment and welcome a sinner

listening to fifty cent
running and dancing in frenzied transitionthe gods in their mansions peep out in engagement
as casket is mounted on winged trailers flying
readied for bearing to rainbows on heavens
