Have you ever thought that anything you do right now will just end up being a thought of the past?

Life and Memories

Since nothing lasts forever,
Is it only memories we seek?
Old acquaintances, old experiences
Old achievements, old tragedies

All the present things,
Are lost in the past
Only thoughts of your friend,
of relatives that last

Everyone leaves you,
through Death or Betrayal
Only impression of their existence
In your mind, swirls

So one day I'll go
To the far end of life
Finish what I started
Complete this exhaustive strife

And find myself happy
And find myself sad
For what my life had been
I'm both glad and sad

For nothing lasts forever
Not even the "everlasting" thoughts
The ship of my life
Is driving at 40 knots

And I can't handle the,
Baggage of all those beings
For being with me
And those loads of memories

Don't wish to travel further
I want to stop at once
And spirits will play with me
And spirits will, with me, dance

The whole of our existence
(To be or not to be)
Depends upon one thought
To live life fully, and have good memories

At my age I relate to this very much, looking back now much more than looking forward, regarding the long way to here and the short way that remains. The last stanza is good and wise advice, no matter one's age.
