NO MORE

Tell me no more secrets
Tell me no more lies
Because I want nothing but the whole truth
At night I return home to my bed where I lay myself to sleep
I get plenty of love from God
And All I can say is amen to that
I know you rest in the arms of an angel
The day is long
The time keep moving
Hour by hour and minutes by minutes
There is no sun today
Or I better say it is gray outside
People wait for the streetcar to come outside in the cold
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday is now gone
Presents I received at Christmas
It was just a few
But what the hell because it is the thought that counts
The bell of the church is now ringing
Subway moves underground and I don't see much
Rather than the people that rides the subway with me
They are all strangers to tell you the truth
In the street is another thing
Trees are bare now
Along time ago I said good bye to the birds
Winter is fast approaching
Last night while I crossed the avenue
I saw the half moon in the sky
I had a dry spell for some time now
I am made of fire, water, air, and stone
Because that is the concept of life
I can't imagine life without God
The nights are cold
No more sad songs I want to hear
No more soldiers I want to see dead in the war
No more cries of the people I want to hear
That are starving in other parts of the world
No more hunger I want to see in this world
So together we must work to fight hunger
No more clean water we should waste
Because in other parts of the world are none
