Bridge(ing)Worlds

we met on a bridge between our worlds
the trembling planet's body heaved beneath
it took so long to take a breath, what's real
sometimes seems a distant pointless point to make
when we could take the texture wrought of passing time
and like a garment woven of fantastic thread adorn
our bodies in uncertain shadow flowing flowers glowing
hours never to return we felt it all only to recall
each burning fearsome moment etching embers into
the patterns we would come to wear like an invisible tattoo
I came to you, you pulled me near until we were, we were
living kindling of an awful evanescent mortal fire
burning ever closer to each and reach the ever other own
selves of thought the wears were worn to cast
like dies and dice until the pitching sea is past
another wave of mercury speeds gravity, with counted steps
we
...met
........on
............a
bridge
..............between
..........................our
worlds.
