Friendly writing challenges & our never ending poem

H
ow can we constructively channel our ardent desire for creative expression towards our *new* writing mini projects? What will we, individually, gain out of it while we contribute to a friendly atmosphere?

The way you use the restrictive limitations of the current poetic form to your creative advantage might inspire us or convince some of us to give it a try. We might afterwards inspire you instead. We can also, with our active cyber presence enable a writer to build up enough momentum to blast past the writer’s block and perhaps join our silent finger dance on the keyboard (start writing).

We also have the chance to create something even more beautiful together (our never ending poem).  Our never ending poem is a place where art imitates life. The poem, the collage of poetic voices, creates itself instead of being what Stephen Spender describes writing to be: "Writing is the gradual revelation of a wholeness already felt when one has the idea for the poem".

The future is now and we are a part of it.  We will keep creating our never ending poem hence be a part of the conditional probability of continuous quality improvement. It never ends but it feels good and it's never too late.

Our never ending poem is not as time – consuming, it requires a minimal amount of effort and most importantly – you can join us whenever You have the time to participate (not like the writing challenges that have a time limit) Or whenever you are in the right mood and

Oh how exciting it will be to get to see what happened to our never ending poem while you were gone or when you joined us.

We, are the authors & editors of the never ending poem (that will ideally be interconnected with the poetic form of the current writing challenge).

• If you feel that something is wrong with the poem but you can’t point out what it is, let us know via pm or a public comment and we will after careful consideration bring it up for discussion via a public post here(editorial team account). You may remain anonymous.

•
Whenever the narration mode of our never ending poem turns to be too impersonal and vice versa we will change the narrative mode(when this happens we will think it through and together with you decide the next step, find the right narration mode and/or narrative tense)or you can simply write your lines, show us how it is done;)

•
Whenever the poem “loses its rhythm” find the right rhyming scheme to *fix* the problem or let us know and we will try to find a solution – always, together with you.

Whenever you feel that one of the senses is missing from the reading experience, let us know and we will try to include some lines with that specific sense, feel free to start first.

• If there is need for a back story, background exposure and you have that story ready feel free to share it with us and we will together decide how we will proceed, if you just feel that something is missing, write a comment or pm us and we will try to figure it out.

TODAY

Today we will change the theme and the poetic form of our never ending poem ( from pantoum to a rhyme scheme of your choice.)

•Write 1-5 lines, and freely choose the arrangement of rhymes.

If you are first you may choose the theme after the first one each line should be a logical continuation of the preceding line(s) and/or of the bigger picture

. . . until it is time for a Non sequitur (change of theme) or change of poetic form to Haiku or Renga until the end of the current writing challenge.

Next post: Our never ending poem:)
